It can be considered a true "second wine". A typical Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia combines generosity and depth of flavour with an endearing and dynamic personality . We also get that characteristic freshness that comes from the Sangiovese.

The Bolgheri Rosso Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia 2016 is made with fruit from the same plots of vines that go into the Bolgheri Superiore, only this is a second selection if you like. Usually the fruit from the youngest vines goes here. This wine gives us a very nice glimpse of what to expect from the high-end releases of this classic vintage. The fruit is rock solid, delineated, tonic and firm. The pleasure factor attributed here is very high thanks to the inner sweetness of the wine, the silky tannins and the soothing extract.
