Ao Yun

Ao Yun is an exclusive world-class red wine crafted in a remote and mystical corner of the Western Yunnan province in China. The vineyards are in the foothills of the sacred Meili Mountain that reaches 22,310 feet. The region was selected because of a climate similar to Bordeaux, France but in an mountain setting.

This rich wine is made by renowned French Winemaker, Maxence Dulou, and 120 local Tibetan families that farm the grapes. The 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc blend allows for a deeply intense wine that has multiple layers of currant, peony, wild black raspberry and graphite flavors. The tannic structure is long and polished and a beautiful example of what this Himalayan terroir has to offer.
